So we had a bit of a reshuffle on the weekly meal planner so we had Salmon pasta last night and it was amazing. G Man & I must have been starving cause it was wolfed down. We got the recipe from Karen (@mumislast) as part of our Fish is the Dish campaign and I made a couple of additions to this one, that made it even better!!!
We used the Kiln Hot Smoked Salmon that we bought from Delish Fish and just in case you are thinking that it is like any other you might buy in the Supermarket, I have to say, I’ve never had such good smoked fish – I don’t normally like hot smoked salmon, but this is not too smokey, it’s just right.
Ingredients (for 2 adults):
250g of dried pasta
150ml (half a tub) creme fraiche
1 fillet of hot smoked salmon
4 spring onions, cut up with scissors
1 tsp hot chilli paste
1 bunch of coriander (better fresh, mine was from freezer and slightly limp!)
Method:
1. Cook pasta according to instructions
2. Once pasta is drained, add in all ingredients and stir until all pasta coated
3. Serve with a glass of chilled white wine.
I have to say, there is nothing more simple on a weekday night than making this little beauty.

Sounds yummy!
It really was the best. Give it a go Gilly Bean (love the name!!)

Fantastic, midweek treaty-meal. Love it. Straight and to the point. Compare and contrast with my long-winded ramble today…
Thanks Kellie, I was trying to show simplicity of dish & the taste is well worth it. My Hubby (G Man) said this is such a tasty pasta dish, much better than tuna pasta! So I’ve won him round. It’s a good way to get your weekly oil rich seafood too!
Ooh I have some of this hot smoked salmon in my freezer – will make this!
It is so tasty Ren, well worth it. You can put anything in you like, the basis is hot smoked salmon, creme fraiche & spring onions. Let me know how you get on. Feel free to link back to the recipe or indeed use it if you like.
This looks fantastic – a great idea. Been meaning to try the hot smoked salmon. The smoking at Delish Fish is outstandingly good. We were saying the same about the haddock – really makes it special
