#EcoverLaundry Challenge: Inspired by nature, recommended by mums

Washing LineI don’t know about you, but about 17 years ago I started to get more interested in the world around me. I started work with a charity, Friends of the Earth and suddenly, wham! I was shocked about how little I knew about how things worked, what chemicals were doing to our waterworks and paranormal in our cosmetics.

It was at that point I made a step change in the way I bought products. I checked labels and made sure we were being as good as we possibly could to protect future generations and let them have access to the same resources I have had.

It was at that time, I tried quite a number of products stating that they were environmentally friendly and were not full of chemicals. I believed them, but it was so pricey back then and I have to be honest, the toothpaste tasted awful, the shampoo didn’t make my hair feel clean – you get the picture.

Ecover Laundry DetergentSo fast forward 17 years and Ecover, a brand that had just started out at that time have produced one of the most lovely smelling (the one I tried was Lavender and Sandalwood), most effective washing detergents that I have ever used. Don’t just take my word for it – 89% of Mumsnet testers think the same and would recommend it to a friend. You can’t really say better than that, can you?  For me when doing a washing it’s not just about the clothes being clean, the smell has to be a clean smell too – living in a house of all men, you can give me that little pleasure can’t you?

Do yourself a favour, think of the environment and the future our kids and our grandkids will have and make the switch today – go on! It won’t cost you more and it certainly works, so no complaints from us 😀
