I’ve filled in my meal planner and it’s to go up in the cupboard so that we all know what we are having – Some nights the boys have the same as us, but generally we eat too late for them, so they have either what we have had from the night before or something of their choosing.
So with this in mind, here is my meal plan for this week:
Monday – Chicken Kung Pao – I usually make this myself, but decided to get a sauce – it was good, but not as good as the one I normally make from Karen over at Lavendar & Lovage, so will revert back to this one.
Tuesday – Cottage Pie – this really is not something I would normally put on my plan, but Grim wants this, so I’ve given in – I just find that we are eating too much meat, so I’m going to have to look at this!
Wednesday – Ragu with spaghetti – All of us love Nonno Joe’s recipe – can’t believe I’ve been making this for almost 5 years!
Thursday – It’s Burns’ Night tonight and as with tradition, us Scots have haggis on the Baird’s birthday. For those who don’t know, my great grandfather was curator of Burns’ Cottage for many years and conducted loads of research. I love a bit of Burns’ poetry, my kids are learning some for school, they are reciting them this week as part of an all school competition.
Friday – baked potaoes and salad – We are busy with cubs and things on a Friday night so having something simple but tasty.
Saturday – Chicken and tabbouleh salad – yes sorry two weeks in a row, but it’s super tasty.
Sunday – Lamb Saag – We have one portion left of Grim’s super tasty Traditional Lamb Saag so we’ll have that on Sunday.
