Our cat Hogan (Hulk Hogan, as named by Lothian Cat Rescue) is very much part of our family, we have had him for over 10 years this year and they thought he was 7 when we got him! Wow, he’s getting on a bit, but he still has a playful streak in him which is great cause all too often when they get older, they lose interest.
His best friend in the family is definitely Buddy, they are inseparable and Hogan has very much taken on a protective role in the family, ensuring Buddy sleeps safely in his bed.
We know that our cat is very independent, but he still loves to play and the boys enjoy this too. He loves the fact that after he plays with them, they like to treat him to treats – I’m sure he plays more cause he knows that he gets a treat afterwards.
We all need to take time out, don’t we – This is my perfect time out, chill out time activity and for the past week, I’ve spent every evening drinking green tea trying to finish my jigsaw – It’s nearly there.
It’s really important that you choose the right food for you cat, whether it be kitten food right through to food specifically formulated for senior cats, they need to be given the right nutrition. As with us, they also need some time out for some pampering and treats. Whiskas is working hard on this. They have made this video of the cats at Kitten Kollege. It really made me smile, I can imagine this is where they all head off to of a day when we think they are out exploring!
Thanks to the team at Whiskas for our hamper, we loved the treats and Hogan especially loved his toys!
